Composer hunt!
on: March 27, 2006, 09:26:35 PM
I am curious to what you all have to say about this!
All my life, I have dreamed of visiting Europe - the places where many composers lived, breathed, and wrote their music. I want to see their inspirations and their living quarters and their instruments and I want to feel the energy and the aura that is left behind amongst them.
What instruments still exist on display?
The only ones that I know of are Chopin's pianoforte, Liszt's last piano, and Beethoven's Graf and Broadwood pianos.
Have any of you ever thought about the same thing? What are some places that you'd like to go?

Hunting around for the lost manuscripts from the finale of Bruckner 9 might prove interesting.

they've just confirmed the piano on which the "Ivory Duel" between Franz Liszt and Thalberg took place... ill scann the little mini-article from "International Piano" if you want...
