Performance Enhancement
on: April 01, 2006, 09:13:36 PM
i just had a concert tonight (singing) and i was really worried about my throat because i was recovering from a recent cold and flu. so i drank like 2 litres of water throughout the day, and as i was waiting for my turn in the concert (there were a few performers) i really needed the toilet, but i couldnt go. this really heightened my nerves. when i got on stage i was almost bursting, but i still went ahead with it and somehow i gave a "mindblowing performance" (thats quoting from what someone told me after). i dont know if that was from the adrenaline or from the over-loaded bladder. i sang a Benjamin Britten recital, which my teacher said i have a natural nack to sing. So was it me or the urine?

has anyone else had an experience similiar to this?

Try to do it again. Then you will know. ;D

If you didn't loose the water, then it stayed in your body and perhaps made your vocal chords moist. I'm serious!

well, i did go to the toilet about 10 minutes before the concert. i was performing about 25 minutes into the concert. i had drank so much water i needed to go again. I think i was well prepared for the concert anyway. my last concert was very successful aswell (without the bladder problem).
