concert program
on: April 08, 2006, 05:37:44 PM
i'm going to have a concert in about 3 months from today
and i have the following pieces ..
Mendelssohn - Fantasy in F# Minor (3 movements)
Schumann - Romance op.28/1
Schumann - Fantasy piece op.12/4 - 'Grillen'
Cesar Franck - Prelude, Fugue & Variation op.18
i finished the first 3 pieces (polishing them now)
and learning the franck now.
now in the concert what should i  play? in which order? should i make a break?

i can add another pieces :(mendelssohn sww 19/1 (just need to relearn) or grieg op.71/4 that i plan to learn or chopin fantaisie impromptu (learned and polished)
do you think it's a good idea?

i plan to make the concert as long as possible cause my last ones were very short

i don't like liszt's music much
there are lots of romantic composers i can't put them all there.

Nice program

The order could be:

Franck Op 18

Schumann

Mendelssohn

Instead of the overpalyed Fantasie - Impromptu, you should add a Brahms piece IMO. Tyr the intermezzo in C#minor OP 117.

Good Luck
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.
