recommendations for a nice, long, showy piece
on: April 10, 2006, 03:57:32 AM
I'll be giving my junior recital next year and I'm only a week away from my teacher assigning me repertoire. He takes requests, so I need some help finding a really "showy off" piece. I'd prefer it be from the Romantic, Classical, or Baroque eras. To give you an idea of my skill level, I'm currently playing Ravel's Jeux D'eau, Saint Saens Piano Concerto 2, etc. I love melodic, lyrical pieces. I'm thinking something to make the audience cry at the end ;)
P.S. I know some of you are pissed because this topic has been posted probably 1000 times, but ... <smiles like a little girl> I'd appreciate your patience.
