let me see your birth certificate
on: April 12, 2006, 04:18:21 PM
ok.  christopher o'riley was on last weekend and this kid was introduced as a whiz kid, age 10, that could play bach's italian concerto backwards and forwards.  anyway,  two days later, i hear the same ad, and this kid is now 12.  what happened?  did i miss hear again.  my hearing must be really bad!  do parents try to get their child to look like the youngest genius ever by fudging their age.  would they do the same to the birth certificate?  can you count teeth to make sure they are accurate? (something like tree rings)

a couple of years off may not be huge for kids - as i frequently forget my own child's age.  but, i'd want to be accurate in advertising.

I think Beethoven's father advertised him as being younger than he really was, so he would seem the super child prodigy.

Yeah...ever notice how a pianist's age is usually conspiculously absent from their resumes and program bios (if they're much over the age of 25 or so)?...
