The Piano teacher
on: April 12, 2006, 09:47:32 PM
Has anyone seen this sick twisted and demented film, I watched it last night and still have no idea what its about. I thought I was watching a film about piano and how wrong I was.
Its French with subtitles and the bit at the end where she stabs herself whats all that about. :)
My brain is screaming at its self now.  :o

And if you havn't watched it don't it messes your mind up ::)

I read the book, havent seen the film yet. The book made some sense i thought, but still alot of it was weird - i think it might be "need to read it again" kinda book.

I think she stabs herself at the end because she truly hates herself. It's something to do with - at the beginning she has all the control, the power and this eventually shifts to the student at the end...

Reading the book might help a little....There wasn't a huge amount of piano in the book either from what i remember. But then it's more about the teacher-pupil relationship isn't it?
