memory or sight reading?

Which one would be prefered good memory or good sight reading? i rely on my memory anywhere i go, which is good cuz then i dont need my music anywhere i go. but good sight reading would help me out in auditions, accompaniying, etc.. which one would u guys rather have?

When you say memory, do you mean repetoire?

A good balance of both is probably best. Good sightreading helps you learn and memorize pieces faster, but memorizing is what you need to work on your musicality.
