I dont think its a "tribute", its only meant to be in the ricky martin style, meaning latino style. Earl Wild having ricky martin as his idol seems odd

Oh yeah, that one always brings me funny memories...
I first heard that movement when in Baylor University's week long Pipe Organ Encounter, on a night concert featuring the staff.
My friends and I walked in, read through the program, and when we saw that, I heard some sarcastic comments as: "This has got to be good..." or "I bet Wild was gay"...
It was actually an interesting piece of music...

That's messed up. Can't say I liked it. It wasn't really Ricky martinish to me, and not really classical. Weird.
