Need help picking a vacation!
on: April 25, 2006, 12:27:11 PM
Hello fellow PF members!  Here's the story:  I haven't taken a vacation in 6 years, so this October'ish, I'm busting out of here (USA) with an old college roommate to travel for 10-14 days.  We've narrowed our options down to the trip choices above.  Since many of you have been to these places or even live there presently, I thought I'd solicit your opinions on where we should go...

Thanks guys!     :D

I would do Macchu Picchu myself.

But i expect you would have to have so many jabs, you would look like a second hand dartboard.

Turkey is rather dangerous these days I think, I wouldn't take the risk of going there. Austria-Hungary sounds nice, as does Hong Kong, the last one mainly for the interesting culture.

i'd love to see morroco, maybe spain and portugal from there, cause they're so close?
hungary, austria and czech sounds good, and the poll so far rates it as a popular choice.

Greece and Turkey, and Peru.

I have been to Greece/Turkey and Thailand/Hong Kong. Loved both, but I would love to go back to the Aegean. Out of the other two I would rather see Peru. One place to return to, and a new one.

Macchu Picchu all the way.  East Europe would be awesome too. It depends if you want the trip for historical, Sight-seeing,relaxation, tourist spots, hidden spots, natural wonders, architectural wonders, cultural.  So many factors, it's really depends on what you want to see.  I think eastern europe would be neat because of the architecture (that's still standing), hitory, and churhces and such.  Peru, for the more natural side of things and I'd kill(almost) to see MAcchu Picchu, my grandparents went there a few years ago and found it to be incredible, they really enjoyed it.
