Satanists do not worship, or even believe in the existance of, satan. They merely use the name as an icon. To piss off christians because satanism is a reactionary movement of people, or messed up teenagers, against christianity, meaning society and their parents. Satanism can only exist in a place where christianity is the dominant religion.

I think atheism should have been excluded from the test. Atheism has nothing to do with how one lives ones life or what one believes. It only means you do not believe in god.
I frowned on some of the questions thinking "I hope they interpret my answer the right way."

Apprerently you answered one question in a way that does not follow the answers an 'true atheist' should answer.

I am a 83% atheist. That should mean that I only believe for 83% that god does not exist. At least that could be an interpretation. I wonder which questions influenced the atheist score.

hmmmm... I find this somewhat interesting.  Of course, most of the questions were not worded correctly (not dimensional enough for me)  .  And, these are merely labels  , and most times I agreed only in part, or on one level with what was being asked.  I had to answer a tie-braker question at the end.

Satan can be found in many other religions than christianity. I will only mention two: Islam and Judaism.

I guess it is not unfair to say that the trinity is confusing. The christian idea of god is that of a trinity. God has three indivual personalities, or entities. The father, the son and the holy spirit. Together they are God.

I am not really sure if 'the father' is 'the lord' or that the trinity itself is 'the lord'.



But it is also clear that this test is rather poor. I mean asking: "I'm not sure now, so I guess we'll all figure it out once we die." to find out if someone believes in the afterlife doesn't really show elegance. It seems that the question can only be answered with 'yes' by people that are agnosts that do believe in the afterlife. I do not really see how this fits in with the possible results.

Mephisto, to me Lucifer isn't really the same as Satan. But you are right. I have not read the books of LaVey but it seems clear that this particular movement of satanism, the original version, is made to match christianty as a reactionary movement. In theory the same could happen in a Jewish and Islamic society. But as for now it has not happened, at least as far as I know. It seems that people in Islamic societies that prefer a more relaxed way of living convert to Christianity. Judaism has many flavors of its own. So I don't see satanism as a reactionary movement in either Jewish or Islamic societies.

seems a bit odd that I can have similar levels of judaism and atheism.  No quiz like this can ever be accurate, it basically was right with me in that I am an agnostic.  It's true some questions could be taken different ways though

He must have believed in a Spinozan god, like most of the religion scientists. This says that god has no personality and that she is the mechanism of nature and the universe.

The test isn't very good anyway. Besides confusing morality and virtuosity with religion (which messes up all the percentages -- i.e. you can be completely atheistic and still practice virtue and morality), it also treats Satanism as a serious religion. Give me a break.

if you are a christian you cannot accept that any of the other religions would cloud your beliefs.  God says that His name is I AM.  Father.  Son.  Gives the Holy Spirit (mind of God) to all who come to Him.  it isn't a closed trinity as many think - but is open to the FAMILY that God is bringing in as 'firstfruits.'  a HARVEST of people.  not of a closed three.  this sneaky addition is what stymes people into connection with the other religions. 

Jesus Christ was ONE with God because of the Holy Spirit's work and His perfect life.  He came to do His Father's will.  He tells us to follow Him as He follows the Father.  this shows the importance of baptism and the need for us to have Him INDWELL with us.  it is a conscious choice and one that Christ made when he was around 30 years old.  that would be old enough to know that 'vows' made would be remembered and kept by God.  basically we vow to have Jesus Christ become our Lord and Master (instead of Satan).  we only have two choices.  one, or the other.  not both.

As much as I hate to say it, the first quiz was crap... But it has a nice statistical distribution: If you select all the middle options, you get almost everything 50%, if you always agree, you get almost everything 100%, if you disagree with everything, nearly all the religions are at 0%.

The other one is, I think, way better, because Reform Judaism, as described there, actually does reflect the vast majority of my views. It's also interesting that, although being brought up in a Roman Catholic enviroment, it scored only 41%...

Also interesting is that I scored quite high in Islam both in this and in the other test, which even put Islam to the first place, however, I haven't so far considered my beliefs to be in accordance with Islam. Perhaps it's just all the misinformation that's now flying around...

I knew I was agnostic, not surprise there, I am kind of surprised at Christianity because I grew up in a a "christian" (because we didn't knwo what else to label ourselves) home.  Never could believe in a high power, never couldn't believe in one either.  I think jesus is a prophet or a pretty awesome dude but not the son of God.
