Schubert radio drama
on: May 10, 2006, 09:00:26 AM
BBC radio's 'afternoon play' series offered up an enjoyable drama about Schubert's last days and how he requested Beethoven's string quartet op.131 on his deathbed.

Written by Nicholas McInerny, it's available to listen to for a few more days with the BBC's Listen Again option:

Under "Listen now for seven days after broadcast", choose FRIDAY

That is interesting.

Did not Beethoven ask for some Schubert on his deathbed as well??
