Le Onde - Ludovico Einaudi
on: May 12, 2006, 06:41:31 PM
Hi !

Does anyone have an instructional video on how to play this piece 'Le Onde' by Ludovico Einaudi?

I am struggling to play this piece well and if anyone can upload a video I will be eternally grateful!

I have the sheet music but cannot play this piece well (or at all!)

Hi!

I love this piece, play it all the time, and have seen Einaudi himself in concert. I don't know of any instructional videos though. What do you have trouble with? :)

Okay! In the beginning part (Andante Con Moto) I play the on the ivory keys:
GDGCDF GDGCDF EBGCDF FCGCDF

But when I listen to the actual piece it sounds nothing like my performance... the problem arises when I start the piece when playing GDG left handed in a slur, whilst simultaneously playing DFCEAD - I'm not certain my piece is accurate because I play it entirely on the ivory keys and and do not know whether to use the ebony keys... :(

I've heard this piece and really want to be able to play it...but can't seem to get the 'backbone' of the piece fluently. Finally I'm not very good at incorporating the D major scale into the entire piece, in particular not sure when executing the sharps...

I want to be able to fluently play the first page of the piece from the Le Onde book.

Please help!!!
Thank you!!!

I'm a beginner and have heard this peice played and it is really inspiring!!
I am aware that this piece is for slightly advanced players, but I still want to attempt to play parts of it...

Yes, I have obtained a copy of the book, but am having difficulty interpreting notes which are plyaed as sharps...

Well the key signature has two sharps, so they would be F sharp and C sharp  :).

I've bought this piece from musicnotes for about £3 (make sure you get the 8 page version)

C and F are # pretty much throughout apart from a couple of places.

just go on youtube and put "le onde tutorial" and you will find what you need. I would urge you to use this opportunity to start learning to read music.
