I think its time I start thinking about next year's repertoire.

These are some pieces I'm considering:

Mendelssohn Sonata in Bb, Op.106
Schumann Sonata in G minor, Op.22
Rachmaninoff Etude Op.39 no.9 in D major
Brahms Intermezzo no.3 and Rhapsody no.4 Op.119
Chopin Ballade in G minor, Op.23
Tchaikovsky Dumka

In competitions where u play 2 pieces, I think I will use one of those as my second (main) piece.

As a first piece, I am considering:
Beethoven Op.31 no.3 in Eb
Ravel Jeux D'eau

My current rep:
Beehthoven Sonata in A major, Op.2 no.2
Mendelssohn Scherzo in E minor, Op.16 no.2
Ravel Sonatine
Rachmaninoff Preludes Op.23 no.6 no.7

Which pieces do you recommend?  Which are too hard?  They're all tough, but I am willing to make the jump and work hard.

Thank you.

Too easy & over-played.

Overplayed pieces?  The only overplayed ones were Ballade 1 and.. that's it.
I asked to pick from the list.  Ballade 1 is not THAT overplayed, I hate pieces that are.  I'm looking for a challenge as well.

Ondine is on my list to play in the faraway future when I get better  ;D

I'm all up for the Schumann sonata and the Brahms intermezzi, personally. The former has its tricky bits, but I wouldn't consider it exceedingly difficult - then again, I can't play it too well, though I'm certainly planning on working on it over the summer. I LOVE that sonata - that, and the intro to the F#m.

Dumka is set piece for one of the Moscow competitions I believe. Its tricky andif you are going to play it out it will need to be good because lots of Russians learn it. The Rach etude is beautiful - learn that whatever! similarly the Brahms pieces are manageable and well worth learning anyway. Beethoven Eb is excellent choice. Mendelssohn sonata is very taxing and pretty long compared to other pieces so watch out for timings etc. Its not so often done so would be nice change but very hard! So is Schumann mindue but I think on balance I would find thre schumann slightly easier overall but it has its moments certainly and requires some very nimble playing. You need to discuss these big pieces with your teacher. The others id be inclined to learn anyway because they are excellent repertoire for you and will be usefull later even if not now.

Is Dumka harder than that Rach etude (39/9)?

I know it's tough but is it that tough?

the schumann, brahms, chopin, tchaikovsky - as well as maybe the tchaikovsky transcription of sleeping beauty by (forget his name now).  it's kinda cool.  oh, and if you are doing barber - his nocturne is only four pages (of hell).  it's kinda beautiful.

 Dear Mr. Mister:
I like your alternatives: wonderful pieces, all of them. However, let me share a principle of mine when choosing new repertory: you just played Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Ravel, and Rachmaninoff. Beethoven is something you must always play, but about the others, why not to change? If you played Mendelssohn, do some Chopin or Schumann; instead of Rach, play Tchaikovsky; and to Ravel, the obvious alternative is Debussy. Notice that I like the composers I'm telling you not to play, Ravel in special, but that's not about someone's likes and dislikes: is about a wide and deep knowledge of the main repertory, which you'll never have playing always the same composers.
By the way, you will not play some Bach? And some 20th century music?
 Hope it helps. Best wishes!
Player of what?

I'm only familiar with the Ravel, which I have played, and the Rachmaninoff.  I'd like to elaborate on what desordre suggested.  Complementing your own repertoire with similar-style pieces from other composers is amazing- opens you to more oportunities, and just adds more variety.  IMO the rach etude might be too difficult.  It's such a great etude, but as your first etude tableau, you shouldnt pick one of the hardest ones.   :P If your keen on trying his etudes, I'd suggest some of the opus 33 first.
Going back to the point about playing from different composers; Ravel's obvious match is Debussy.  I think some of his preludes, and his l'Isle Joyeuse would be a good transition up from the Ravel which you currently play.  Perhaps 'les collines d'anacapri', 'ce qu'a vu le vent d'ouest', 'serenade interrompu', 'dance de puck'... something along those lines would be some good preludes, and l'Isle Joyeuse is an awesome concert piece, and also quite difficult.
To compliment your Mendelssohn, true, play some Chopin or Liszt, but your Brahms is a great choice too!

-Prokofiev Toccata
-Scriabin Sonata 2

I'd do the Brahms. The Chopin Ballade is becoming hackneyed, if you need a ballade I'd recommend the Third- it is gorgeous.
