upright pianos in europe
on: May 18, 2006, 10:53:42 PM
I live in Europe and I want to buy a new upright piano.I'm looking for a piano with medium touchweight. As for the sound,I can't tell yet cause I haven't played on many pianos, but I can say that I don't like yamaha and kawai pianos very much(especially yamaha).Any recommentations?I'm looking for something under 7000 if possible.

Well. if you don't like Kawai and Yamaha, you're probably not going to like anything else that you'll find in the 7,000 euro range.

Although Kemble are affiliated to Yamaha, Kemble pianos have their own characteristics and I would recommend you check them out.

Wouldn't that depend on which Yamaha model it is? (Come to think of it, you probably have been trying the smaller Yamahas all this time. Try some bigger ones, like the U3 or U5 if you get the chance. Same for Kawai, go to the K-60 and K-80 range and see what happens, if you cannot find other brands mentioned before.)
