try some bortkiewicz, who is one of my favorite neglected composers. his music has a lot of fury in it, but other parts of it can be very moist and emotional, yet still effective. watch koji's vid for some ideas.

Tausig- The Ghost Ship
Liszt- Mazeppa (TE 4) Wild Jagd (TE 8)- LOTS of Liszt would fit this criteria
Debussy- Ce qu'a vu le vent d'Ouest

Lyapunov nr 10- yes; nr 11 is not furious- it's light and capricious

if you want a moist yet furious lyapunov etude, try the etude no 12, which is in memory of franz liszt. it is based on his 1st hungarian rhapsody (i think) and has some nice themes in it, yet it also requires a formidable technique.

Chopin etudes op 10 no 12
Chopin etudes op 25 no 10 (though this might chase people away  :P)
                        op 25 no 11 and 12
Chopin sonate op 58, finale.
Chopin prelude in g minor (dont remember the number)

Rachmaninoff prelude f# minor
1+1=11

Has anyone got even a MIDI file for 'Night Wind'? I'm dying to hear it but I can't go find recordings or order them online!

Now, pertaining to the topic...

How about one of Liszt's transcriptions of Beethoven's symphonies? The 5th and 9th come to mind prominently.

Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No.6, Spanish Rhapsody
Chopin Op.25 No.6, 11, 12
Chopin Op.10 No.4
Just about any of Scriabin's etudes- Op.42, No.5 and Op. 8-12 are the best, but also 8-9, 8-2 and 42-8.
Scriabin Sonata No.5
Rachmaninoff PC No.3 and Paganini Rhapsody

The list is endless.

Mazeppa and Jagd are FURIOUS pieces if anything

I think some Chopin nocturnes are moizt but impressive (the really difficult ones)

Chopin Sonata in b-flat?  Although that requires a musical and emotional maturity that you might not allow yourself, in your "fury"
For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)
