Edition for Prokofiev Toccata
on: May 21, 2006, 03:49:27 AM
Hey all,

I usually get Henle, but when I looked for an edition for the Prokofiev Toccata, all I found was Edition Peters and Alfred.  I went ahead and told the store to special order the Edition Peters edition (redundant, eh?)...is this a good edition?

I also told them to special order the Henle for the Chopin 2nd concerto (f minor) piano reduction, does anyone know anything about this score? I'm pretty confident with it though, Henle is usually excellent.

I haven't seen the Peters edition, but I know that the Alfred is good.  I used that when I learned it.  It's got a lot of good fingering suggestions that other editions don't include.
