American Idol winner. I don't think he should have won, though.
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

I preferred Eliott.  I didn't like any of the girls.

Elliot's vibrato was annoying and Taylor was the only person who put true emotion into his performances.

Is that only because it was so blatantly obvious and overtly shown? Can be linked to LangLang...

Well how did you know that the other singers weren't putting 'true emotion' into their singing? For all you know they could have been, but it wasn't as obvious as the others maybe due to shyness or nerves, or anything else.

So if it wasn't the blatantly obvious extrovertness, what was it that led you to believe he was the only one putting 'true emotion' into his singing? I'd really like to know.

Cheers,
Henrah

Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
