Need help finding a piece
on: May 21, 2006, 11:02:57 PM
I am working on an English project where I put together my own 'symphony' of music, with each movement representing one aspect of a book that I've read.
I have four movements already put together and need one more. With this last one I am having trouble.
I need a piece that somehow reflects/expresses/relates with knowledge being dangerous.
EDIT: either that or ignorance is bliss.
Any ideas?

EDIT2: 300 posts!

Prokofiev  Diabolical Suggestion Op.4 #4.

After your English Prof. or Teacher hears it & asks Why you chose it.
The best answer would be : Why Not?  :)

You brought to mind Hesse's book "Magister Ludi", which made me think of some of those very short pieces of Schoenberg.

What's the book? Sounds orwellian.
