Toccata and Fugue in D minor : Busoni or Reger?
on: May 22, 2006, 03:41:35 AM
I like more Reger´s.
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

Tausig's is good, but I can't stand how he does the opening.

Most of the original organ score is playable as written.  There are only a couple of tough spots.  My vote is to transcribe it yourself.
