Liszt, as being the greatest piano work of the romantics. (along with Chopin's Polonaise-Fantasie and Schumann's Fantasie and Kreisleriana.)

These two Sonatas are the very best of the 19th century after (chronologically) the Schubert/Beethoven late sonatas.
