the moscheles 7th concerto has been on my hot lsit for quite sometime, as i copllect scores for hyperion's romantic piano concerto series (i have quite a few of them). you can probably find it, along with the mendelssohn perhaps, at a library such as the british library or some other library with hard-to-find classical scores.

The Mendelssohn is avilable on Naxos with Benjamin Frith and some chick violinist I think.  I don't like his concerto's (no's 1 and 2) but this from what I remember is rather good.

i think he meant that he was looking for the scores. i think the CDs are relatively easy to come by. anyways, good luck with your search and let me know if you find these scores!

jre58591 is correct, as this is available at the British Library.

It is on my purchase list, but it takes a long time and costs about £50.

I will have it in a few months.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
