This only works if you understand the characters with the right phonetics. Which depends on what language you speak.

Skr ie aa bin

I mean, a single english 'a' will be pronounced like an 'e' in my first language. So I do not require a 'h'. Because of this the english 'ee' will sound like 'ie', which can be written using an 'y' also, of course.

Also the 'c', why is it needed? I mean, one could interpret a 'c' as a 's'-like sound. Of course this does not exist in English, the 'c' with an 's'-sound, but it does exist in other countries.

Scriabin himself used the french 'bine' for his publications in the roman script himself.

In japan his name would be pronounced Sukuryaabin: スクリャービン

I always thought it was SKREE - ah - bin.

Here's one that's annoyed me for years: how do you pronounce Moscheles?

Nah, he was Bohemian. I suppose it's just one of these things humankind isn't meant to know. Like the meaning of life.
