Chopin and the Spanish Rhapsody. Did the third ballade this year, it's a very cool piece and it's fun to work on it. Most difficult parts for me are the first four pages (getting the right sound).

The Liszt is a good show off piece and sounds cool.

Liszt SR and Bach-Busoni.  It won't make for a well balanced program, but heh, I don't care!  8)

thanks for your replies!

I actually started Spanish Rhapsody and the Chopin Ballade, but I found the ballade so hard to memorize (like all Chopin) so I switched it to Chaconne.

In other words, Im now doing what maxy said

The Chopin Ballade is the best of the lot. Listen to Richter's version; it's ideal.

The Bach-Busoni Chaconne BWV1004 is a real masterpiece and definitely gets my #1 vote.  While the Chopin Ballade is probably the other one you SHOULD learn, I voted for the Spanish Rhapsody anyways just cause it's such a badass piece =P  Try to get Bolet on it; it's joygasmic.
