World Cup Poll
on: June 14, 2006, 03:20:05 PM
Well, i personally wouldn't mind if footie just disappeared... but im sure this is not everyone's opinion.
Im thinking that pianists might not bother about football because piano stuff is at the centre of peoples lives rather than footie, which ios at the centre of other people's...

World Cup is by far the best festival in the world. Super Bowl? America only. Olympics? Tainted by its political purposes.
generally working on:
Bach Toccata in g minor
Rachmaninoff 3rd Concerto

The FIFA is pretty corrupt. Blatter may end up in jail.

And the fact that they refuse to sprinkle the field is very bad. You can't even play nice footbaal on a dry field with a ball such as the one they use. The combination of the ball, which is brand new and largely unfamiliar to most players, and the pitch is really bad.
Also, those 'high tech' fancy looking shoos they use have very bad trackion, or it is because the fields are brand new meaning that the upper layer is soft. You see a lot of people slipping.

The FIFA also refuse to use technology to improve the refereeing. Today in the match against Spain you see the result. It is almost impossible to apply the rules correctly for one referee without any help.

Also, red cards are too hard a punishment. If someone gets a red card often the game is over. They should be able to give someone a personal penalty. This will also allow referees to send off more people because sending someone off will not mean they destroy the game.

At least they now stopped trying to stop players drinking water during the game.

OMG I just looked out the window and for as far as I can see there are cars lining both sides of the road! And its only big enough for one van at a time! I can't get out the house!
This is really ridiculous... this shouldn't be allowed... I'm sure I could shoot them if I was in the US...

If life is a game then the rules suck.

No one knows why the fields aren't sprinkled. The FIFA and the german organisation push the responsibility for this on each other.
