I bought an mp3 player!
on: June 14, 2006, 06:45:05 PM
I made the plunge and bought an mp3 player.  After deciding not to bother with the recording aspect, I bought a mic from Best Buy that plugs into my USB, and downloaded the free Audacity recording software.  This seems to work fine.
Anyway, so I bought an iRiver T10 1GB mp3 player.  Here are the specs from Amazon.

I ordered expidited shipping, and I'm hoping that I get it before I go out of town next Wednesday on vacation.

Pretty cool. I have an iriver also, but it is the H120 20GB one. I put rockbox on it as the firmware and I can play games and things and also read .txt files. I am very happy with it.

By the way, doesn't your model come with a recorder anyway?

Yes, but everybody said that the recorder doesn't do much.  I thought about getting something with more memory, but for my purposes, I don't think I need all that much right now.
