Y'know, I'm learning the 3rd movt now, and went on youtube to see videos of other performances.  I watched the Kempf video and admired it for his clarity and control in a piece that can very easily spiral into a mess.  So, after a few more weeks practice, I decided to go back and watch again for some fingering and the video was gone.  I used every search term relevant but the clip is there no more.  Wonder what happened.

Its not gone. the user made the video only viewable to friends on his friends list..I suggest if you want to see it, you should make an account if  u havent already done so, and then put in a friends request to pskim713(i think thats right). He has the vid of him.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
