Beethoven - Sonata Op. 22 I. Allegro con brio
on: June 22, 2006, 08:32:44 AM
I've been digitally recording some more cassette tapes I have of performances from my pre-university days, and I'm posting a few of the recordings here.  This one was recorded at SMSU (MO) at a "Young Artist" piano competition semi-final round in Feb 1998.  And I had been taking lessons for about 4.5 years (16 yrs old).

I learned the whole sonata later that year, but only the first movement was played for the competition, and so that's the only thing that got recorded... :-\

As always, comments and criticism is most welcome, even though this is not something I plan on revisiting anytime soon.

I played this last year too (I was 16, too), but at the time I'd been playing the piano for about 9ish years. You're playing is very impressive, especially for your experience at the time!
