Playing by ear is a good start, but it has limitations. So i guess the next step would be to play written music, sadly this can be difficult for a late starter. However Scarlatie sonatas are a great place to start.

You don't even know how late of a starter he is, though. And I really don't think written music is any easier for 7 year olds than it is for....

how old are you anyway, suzie?

It is presumable that when someone invests money in a grand, that he or she is a late starter.

We're making a lot of presumptions here.... the poster is a "she" because her login name is suzie.... and that she is old because she can buy an expensive piano....
