New teacher
on: June 24, 2006, 03:36:02 AM
Hello fellow piano teachers, I am a young piano student intending to start a private lesson at my house and have had no experience in teaching but graduated from ARCT Royal Conseratory of Music which is equivalent to a teachers degree I believe. I feel quite comfortable in teaching people in lower grades (1 to 8 ) but I do not know the kind of books that may be suitable for extreme beginners for both techniques and repertoires. Well, I am not intending to make students take grade exams as it is not necessary to promote them to higher levels. Can anyone please recommend possible excercise books and repertoires that I may use for these people who barely plays c major scale? Thank you in advance.
