So, who do you think is the...

1. Most famous composer
2. Most popular composer

For me, it's:

1. Mozart
2. Chopin

Greetings.

Perhaps it is due to my misundestanding of the so stated words, but, what is the difference between "famous" and "popular"?

Oh I see. In my opinion, the most common composer known to the public is Mozart or Beethoven. Just about anyone knows their name. The most "famous" among musicians is.....rather depends. Probably Chopin.
