glad Alistair made the list.  i knew i couldn't be the one to recommend him yet because i haven't heard any of his pieces.  entirely my fault, i know.  if he lived on this side of the 'pond' i'm sure i'd have gone to thta jonathan powell concert (hoping, of course, that jonathan powell would be on this side of the 'pond,' too).

Ok, I don't know if this is the right board, but anyway...

When I was eating just now, I thought of an interesting game which I could include here.
The name is Composer-o-rama (I hope you'll like it). Let's go through the rules:

1. (If you want to) Simply type the name of a COMPOSER in your reply.
2. If you are not the first person to reply in this thread, please look through the other replys before yours. If the name of the composer you already have in your mind has been sent by another person, you cannot repeat it and must think of another one.
3. (Very important!!!) Once you have already posted your composer, you cannot post another one. (Yes, you can only type down one.)

If you have any questions, send me a reply. Good luck! The game starts now!!!

Scarlatti.  Live Happily.

I am impressed that Xenakis got two hits (one for each piano piece) and so many a good composer hasn't.   8)
Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)
