Bernard moved. I believe he may even have changed country.

He needed to start over from scratch teaching wise, new students and everything.
I am sure he is just to plain busy.

Bernhard is very much alive and is an active member in this forum. Its just that he is been posting under Different Name. Give that guy a break, he has said too many things and now he is undoing all he said in a different Piano Street Name.  ;D ;D ;D

That΄s him, 100% ! Just take a look at the number of posts - registered at the beginning of march, Bernhard was just adapting to his new character for two months, changed his style a little bit and was finally reborn. As Martha A. ! Check out her posts, their architecture reminds me on his style. :-*

The last time I heard, Bernhard was being sued by Edition Peters, as they had only sold 2 "Hanon" books in the last 3 years.

Now, that's funny.

As for Bernard. He replied himself in this forum not to long ago. Should be available somewhere.

April 27th was his last post.  He's probably just busy...

I'd doubt "Bernard" is the same person as "Bernhard".  I may be wrong, but I believe his screenname was chosen because it is the name of a famous pianist/pedagogue of the 19th century who studied with Liszt.

Bernhard... if I'm wrong about that, let me know.  ;)

Bernhard:

Gosh!  Just thrilled to see you here.

I feel like I know you and of course I don't!!  Just glad to see you.

I wanted you to know I had started copying and compiling your posts, but alas, I thought I had *time* and I did NOT.  They changed it and I can no longer access them.  I am thinking you might have some influence in getting them back.

Nils answered and was very nice about it.  He said maybe in the next few months?  I am thinking the project might just get lost and forgotten.  New people on here will simply not understand what they missed.  Or why we want it back.

I am still hoping you are writing a book, especially:  a better version of:
"An Analytical Survey of the Fifteen Two-Part Inventions by J.S. Back, by Theodore O. Johnson.

I am using it, but boy he could done a better job.  Very hard to follow/understand in parts.  Not much detail?

Also:  Do you know of a book similiar for analyzing Sonatas?

I enjoy doing all this so much.

Again, just so good to see you, and I wished you lived in my community and I could be your student!

A friend and admirer.

I would link it, but I haven't asked him if he's ok with that.  You can find him yourself... it's Bernhard in the US and he likes jazz piano.  That should be enough for you to find him.
