Very nice piece. I would also like to know its name.
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

Did anyone ever find this ? It appears to be called “Dreamy Piano” by Jack Waldenmaier and also appears to be copyrighted and published by Music Bakery Publishing (BMI). I’m unable to find the sheet music anywhere.

Allthumbs could you please be more specific and reply again, rather than in hieroglyphic format that only you may understand or find amusing. Or is (the trade mark) Muzak a publishing firm that the sheet music is obtainable, if not no need to reply.

It was my attempt at humour. Muzak is what one hears played in elevators, malls and other public places as background music.

BTW, music without words (singing) are refered to as pieces not songs.

I find this type of piece rather trite, but to each his own and sorry I don't have the sheets.

PS - Thanks for the negative vote.

Thank you for your further reply Allthumbs, I appreciate your honesty. I have actually heard of those metaphors you describe, but I do not think too much of them.

I only just had this type of conversation with one of my colleagues the other day. And my question was to them, “If the music you heard (whether it be in an elevator or anywhere) was written by your favorite composer (in this case it was Beethoven) would you like it then ?” Unfortunately I did not get an answer, they just laughed and changed the subject (Beethoven probably would have thought the same anyway – LOL – but I shouldn’t say that he is my favorite composer !). Usually if someone dose not like something, it is more often than not because they do not understand it or cannot relate it to something. But I must admit, I wish the people that produce these recordings would air Rachmaninoff's Vocalise for a change – I’d be up and down the escalators all day !

It was not my intention to rub you up the wrong way with a negative vote. It’s just that I did not find your first post constructive or useful.

Beethovens Rage over a lost penny would be suitable as muzak

I must be more mad than Beethoven then, he only composed it - I'm actually playing it.

Beethoven is one of my favorite composers and there are some pieces by him that I'm not particularly fond of.

Me too and I like escalators, so it would be a win-win situation.

Not even a little bit funny? ;)
Don't worry, I'm not that sensitive.
Thanks for the point back. ;D

Did you ever find this?
It reminds me of Steve Hall's piano music.

This piece is by one of the New Age Artist usually played on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio which is one of itunes stations. You can go to Whisperings website and there listed is all of there artist. I would try a fellow named Silvard or Micheal Dulin, David Nevue, Greg Maroney, David Lance, Joe Yamada, Joe Bongiomo. You should be sure to find it or start filling very sick. Not a real fan of New Age "lets zone out" stuff.
