Hi, my name is Katarina Benkova. I'm on this forum first time. I live in Slovakia and I don't speak good english. I play the piano eight years. I will go on conservatorium. I have a problem with my hands. My hands are very tense and my finger are faint. Can you halp me please with my problem?

Hi, I'm no veteran myself either... I'm looking for advices a few posts ahead. :) What I can tell you is to practice old, easier pieces slowly and completely relaxed. Read the arm weight method if you don't know in this book:

Also, you might practice the method of Schmitt. I didn't quite understand your problem but you can benefit from his Preparatory Exercies, Op.16

Thank oguzcan for advices. Similar things are spoken to myself by my teachers. But I think it does not help. Maybe I do not have patience.
When I play the piano my tone is very quiet. When I try to play richer tone I do not know how to make out piano from forte.

Your hands are tense but your tone is quiet?

Did you read the link above? There's a good exercise to get the feeling of relaxed hands. Maybe you should show your hands how to relax before incorporating in your playing.

I read something from that book. Thank you for the tip. It is good book. I think that it could help me :). You are some piano teacher? How many years do you play the piano?
