Hello,
Heintzman piano at that time were built in Canada (Toronto) and were of very good quality.  At some point, they were considered the Canadian Steinway...  I had a 1901 Heintzman 6 foot 1 and really enjoyed it.   Mind you, the scale design was modified and the action was microbalanced.  They are very solid and well built.
Regards
Martin

I have a junk Heintzman that was given to my by a school.  At one point I thought of restoring it just for the learning experience.  It was great to learn tuning though.  Anyways, I hadn't tuned it in 6 years or so, and I randomly decided to check with the tuner A 440 = 440.  Solid tuning.  The case was made like a tank.  Looks like one too.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
