A great new name for Debussy_Symbolism?!!
on: July 17, 2006, 06:03:29 PM
But in order to post it here,I must have Debussy's permission - plus the promise, DS, that if you think it's perfect for you, you will change your Piano Street name to it.

Don't worry, it isn't at all demeaning, or mean sprited. You might — if you learn you how — even chuckle at the appropriateness of it.

At no extra cost, DS, here is the cram course on how to laugh:

Think of something very funny. Now, make your eyebrows rise,; simultaneously, open your mouth, turn the corners of said mouth UP, and say "Ha! Ha! Ha!"  (If you laugh in Spanish, you must say "Ja! Ja! Ja!") It looks sort of like  :D :D :D

Work on this as assiduously as you would one of your beloved Moszkowski etudes.

Then when you come back to this thread, and give permission to publish, I can almost promise that you will go "Ha! Ha! Ha!" (or "Ja! Ja! Ja!") when you see your new name.

But of course you must practice, practice, practice.

Greetings.

Hmmm.... let's make it more interesting. You will have to remunerate for your deeds, by allowing me to change your name.( No insults of course) :D :D ;D

With the same parameters - specifically, I have to regard my new name as perfect to adopt it, as you must yours.

And no insults, as you said. Just mirth.

I think that it's best for us to be able to consider a name before applying it. Start by intoducing your idea of my nickname, and then, quid-pro-quo, I will intoduce you to my idea of yours. :D. I think that it's best for us to be able to elide a given name for another, in case of dislike of the name.

Okay. You are renowned for your love of Czerney and Moszkowski. You might even adore Hanon. You attack etudes to learn techniques to attack other etudes.

In short, you have a fetish for exercises. Therefore your new name is...

The exercist? :o :o :o :o :o :o Wow, I really didn't expect that. :o :o :o. scary. :D Nah, too dark sounding. I consecrate excercises because they help. I don't however devote all of my practicing time to them. ;D

If I was to suggest a nickname for you, it would be.........................

"The name changer". :D :D :D. Kinda couldn't think of anything else. :-[
