New Recordings on CD by ABRSM (2007/2008)
on: July 18, 2006, 02:57:01 PM
Hey everyone!

I was browsing through some new stuffs in my local music shop last week, and I saw the latest ABRSM Piano books (2007/2008) and CDs are out for sale! On the other hand, I'm still searching for Jim Brickman's 'The Circles'. Still can' locate it  :'(

BTW, I love collecting all the ABRSM exam books and CDs. But this year, the CDs (they only sell CDs starting this year!) are copyright-protected. So, I can't listen to them by PC or iPod. Sad. So sad.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( What a shock to me!   :o :o

Can anyone help me, please? Is there a way to 'crack' a code or something so that I can transfer all the songs to my ultra-white iPod?

Thanks.  ;)

There isn't anything you can do unfortunately. A number of people have complained about this, and suggested things, so hopefully in the future something will be done  :).

Thanks for the advice. But I'm not sure how long am I going to wait to get hold of them. This is so frustrating.  ???

There's often the possibility to copy them to your PC although they are copyright protected. Try different programs (like EAC 'Exact Audio Copy' and such, rip them to your hard drive and burn them on an empty CD - e voilá: You've got a copyright-protection-free CD that will play anywhere) ;-)

Hi happyscottyboy,

Thanks for the update on the ABRSM Piano books/CDs.

BTW, if you're still looking for Jim Brickman's "Circles", it is included in the piano/vocal/guitar book "My Romance - An Evening with Jim Brickman" published by Hal Leonard Corporation (ISBN: 0634025295).  It is available from several online stores.  I hope this helps.

What are these?  The ABRSM Piano books?

Where do you get them?  How much?  Does someone have a link?
