question about diploma exams

think this is the best place to ask this...

Basically im planning on doing the DipABRSM in December, and i'm using a piece that isn't on the syllabus- Chopin's Nocturne Op 48 Nr 1.

I was just wondering how people go about getting permisson to perform a non-syllabus item?

At this level, you are allowed 7 minutes of repertoire not on the list. You do not need to clear it with the board.
