Price on a 1949 Steinway S, restored

I have a friend who wants to buy a steinway S 1949, restored.

Wondering if anyone knows what the going price for this would be.

Or direct me to where I can find this info.

I would check out the Steinway Ss listed for sale on Pianomart.com.  Your probably talking high teens (US) and up.  IMHO the Steinway S is too small to be a serious instrument.  Unless your friend has absolutely made up his/her mind, a piano 5'6" and up would be a better choice.

Berrt!  I'm remembered... wow.  Good to be back.  I'm busier than ever and I feel guilty playing the piano when I should be doing house hold chores... good excuse to skip taking out the garbage :)

Rich, thanks for the price range.  I feel like a middle man a lot when it comes to recommending pianos.  Pianos are just so much more popular than violins and I don't really know that much about pianos.  So... I really appreciate the help.
