Second thoughts on a second recital piece
on: July 27, 2006, 06:54:52 PM
I've already committed to a rag and a Russian piece to be named later, but last night I was flipping through my
The Piano Bench of Classical Music
, and happened upon a score of La Paloma.
That is a wonderful piece, composed by a man named Yradier (if I remember the spelling, correctly). The only trouble is this arrangement is largely octaves and simple 2-note chords for the right hand. The left might be interesting but...I get the feeling that anyone who'd play this score would be pretending he's a pianist.
Anyway, does anyone know of an intermediate piano arrangement of La Paloma?
