Im having real trouble finding the time to practice in my house these days. Well, not finding the time, more like finding QUIET time! Everyone is so damn noisy I just cant concentrate most of the time.
I thought it would be great if I got an electric piano, then I make up lost practice at night when everyones asleep. I tend to work better at night (probably cuz of the peace and quiet) so this might work out better. Plus, as I work in music technology, Im sure this would be useful for inputting midi as much current controller is garbage.
Unfortunately I dont have a lot to spend. BUT, I do have a shop owe me £500 quid, so I was thinking of getting them to send me a P70 a stand.
Obviously I shall try it first and compare to some others. But I was wondering what you guys made of them? The action is probably my highest criteria - Id like my EP to feel remotely like a piano if possible (although Im not expecting miracles). Volume and sound quality are lesser criteria. If it came to it, I have a few high end piano sample libraries on the computer, so I would use it to drive those and use the monitors to listen.
Really what I want is something that wont cost the earth, but doesnt feel like an old PSR keyboard!
Cheers all,
SJ
