but, occasionally i google my piano teacher's name to see if he's playing in the area. (nope. nyc - good luck getting there in a car!) anyway, he now has his own website - of which i've tried to listen to the listen section to no avail. what's wrong? is it my computer?

Works fine for me. Could be your anti virus.

Try right clicking and saving to your computer first.

He seems like a very good teacher and pianist, he's also getting married haw does that make you feel.
