If anyone knows about this composer.
on: July 31, 2006, 06:55:21 PM
Greetings.

I am going to study a particular set of etudes or just an etude or two by a specific composer for which my teacher doesn't have the sheets for. She provides me with practically all the music sheets, however this one she doesn't even have. I am not sure as to the spelling of the composers name, but in Russian, it is pronounced: "Lak". I am sure that that is also how one might pronounce it in English. I have tried different names such as : Lack, Laque, Lak, etc. If anyone knows about it it would be very helpful.

Best.

This could be Theodore Lack.

I have in my collection 12 Etudes de Bravoure and 12 Etudes Artistiques.

You are more than welcome to them if required.

Great. Thanks for your help. I will find out more about the composer and his material. I will also ask my teacher if she needs any(hope yes). I am amazed at the quantity of your collection Thalbergmad. What, do you have a library nearby from which you get your sheets? ;)

I also tried to spell "Lack", but not knowing his first name I didn't get much results, even with other que words.

It probably is Theodore Lack. I can't seem to find his etudes anywhere, at least for the piano. It would be however great if you could post some. I sure wouldn't want to be in "lack" of them
