Wow, thanks for sharing this Mario !

I do assign and participate in duets with my students (they LOVE them), however, I am just getting into them.  I am very excited by them as they do provide some wonderful opportunities for students to explore pianistic and musical issues (often with more courage), as was talked about in your video.

You play beautifully, btw  .

Hi m1469,

Thanks for the compliments.  I hope your ventures into piano duets go well.  Piano study generally tends to be less of a social learning process than other instrumental or vocal studies, so duets takes piano students into that less solitary environment.  Piano study can be very lonely, but it doesn't have to be!

hmmmmm... that's a great point.  I often (lately) like to end my students' lessons with us playing a duet together (them sightreading.... mwuah a a a ahhhhh) or making two students whose lessons are back to back sightread a duet together (mwuah aha haaaaa).  Anyway, I can tell they just always love it, and probably this is part of the reason.  They get to experience a more social aspect of playing the piano rather than the solo version only.
