Hypothetical new student
on: August 06, 2006, 06:02:26 AM
I was wondering what the teachers of this forum would do if they came across a student like me:
I started playing ~2 years ago and did so without a teacher.
I've been playing pieces that I want to play, rather than what would be proper for technical development.  Most of what I've learned has been what I like to call 'of intermediate to advanced (though not by any means virtuostic) difficulty'.
I have many technical flaws (some of which have yet to be fixed/discovered).

It depends on what your goals are and what you would like to do.  If you don't know, I would craftily find out and help you reach them ;D.

Funny thing.  I read the OP, and then scrolled down to type in my response and there is was almost word-for-word.  We must be twins as well.  8)
