Medtner plays Medtner
on: August 06, 2006, 11:20:15 PM
Hello, I am curious about how much of his own music Medtner has recorded.  It is difficult to get a grasp over it from searching the internet.  I have many (perhaps all) of his song recordings with Schwarzkopf, but none of his solo piano recordings, or the concerti.  Can anyone tell me what he has recorded (or where I can find such information), and also the bnest way to go about obtaining it?  Amazon. com doesn't seem to be much help.

Many Thanks
Walter Ramsey

There are 3 volumes worth of solo recordings on APR. But they are expensive.

He has in adition recorded the 2nd and 3rd piano concerto, and maybe more.

In Norway the average cd chosts 30 US $, so the apr discs are cheap for me.
