Chopin Nocts (Maria Joao Pires)
on: August 07, 2006, 08:11:50 PM

Been listening to her Nocturnes, and even along side the likes of Pollini, Rubinstein, Bareboim etc, they really shine imo. I never thought of her as a great interpretor of Chopin but I really like this record.

Anyone know if she's done anymore Chopin recordings?

She has the Chopin Concerto No. 2 with Andre Previn and the Op. 28 Preludes on that disc as well....

Both Piano Concertos with Armin Jordan, and then the Waltzes. You can also get the waltzes seperate, I think.

SHe has a recording of the Chopin PC 1 with the Op. 49 Fantasie, the Fantasie-Impromptu, and the Berceuse Op. 57.

Don't know if that's her complete discography though.
