That is the one you posted together witha legendary Don Juan. Somehow I have lost that recital exept for the Don Juan.

My favourite is Moiseiwitshc with the cadenza by Moiseiwitschs teacher whose name is to difficult for me to remember(Lezetsky?).

I completely agree.  the best recording of it is Moiseiwitsch's one.

and Cortot's recording with his own cadenza is also superb.

I am surprised nobody has mentioned one of the Paderewski's, the one you can get on the "Great Pianist" series.  I don't know the Mosiewitch, but it far outshines the Bolet in my opinion.  My only complaint is his addition of that ridiculous cadenza at the end, which for me totally destroys the piece, making a vapid atmosphere and ruining the simplicity of it all.  But as far as the rest of it is concerned, it is really magnificent and not a note seems out of place.
He recorded it another time where he butchers the phrasing, adding a lot of notes, and a figure that would be repeated twice, he repeats always three times.  This one I don't recommend, he also plays it more in the style of a Moszkowski etude, more brilliance and less beauty.

that 'Paderewski' is actually Moiseiwitsch's recording thanks to a production blunder by Mr Deacon.

I've never heard such a thing!  Is it true?  Did Paderewski then not record it twice?

Yes, true. It was confirmed by IPAM, I wonder what Deacon has to say on the matter. I'm not sure if Paderewski recorded it twice.

And the live Bolet from A-F is far superior to any other that I've heard of his.
