How easy! Turns out it's even easier with OpenOffice Writer (as opposed to WORD).
I copied the first teo posts of this thread and pasted them in a blank OO Writer doc. The program itself changed the background to white and the typeface to black! I didn't have to do nuttin', which is what I'm best at.

OpenOffice is a suite of 6 applications which you might want to try. It's
free, and includes Writer, Base, Calc, Math, Impress, and two more. It seems to be modeled after the MS OFFICE suite.
