If so, how do you do it?

It looks like Management does its best to thwart such efforts.

I can save a thread with SnagIt but each post is gargantuan in size (which makes it arduous to read the posts). And the bloat doesn't lend itself to printing, either.

(SnagIt's a good little app to have — for some folks, anyway. You might want to Google and read up on it if you haven't already. No, I have no connection whatever with the thing. I won a few online Play-Money poker tournaments and captured the winning moments with the app. Then used each as desktop background for awhile. But the clutter always gets to me, so I go back to no background, just plain blue. With pianoi lessons, I no longer have time to play much poker.)

Anyway, how do you save either a thread or even just a particular post?

How to save and read a thread:
* copy the thread you like
* save it in an empty word document
* change the text colour (make it black) and background colour (make it white)
* change the letter type and size (easier to print if the file is smaller)
* delete the parts you don't like or need

It looks like it takes quite some time, but I can assure you, it is a quick way to do it.

Hallelujah! (Had to get the right spelling from Dictionary.com  ;D)

How easy! Turns out it's even easier with OpenOffice Writer (as opposed to WORD).

I copied the first teo posts of this thread and pasted them in a blank OO Writer doc. The program itself changed the background to white and the typeface to black! I didn't have to do nuttin', which is what I'm best at.

Thanks very much, nsvppp! Is there a s'il vous plait lurking in your initials? What does the whole thing stand for?  (Unless it's deeply personal, then you can post it and I won't tell anyone.  ;D ;D ;D)

For those of you who might be interested...

OpenOffice is a suite of 6 applications which you might want to try. It's free, and includes Writer, Base, Calc, Math, Impress, and two more. It seems to be modeled after the MS OFFICE suite.

 Take a look at

It works just as well in WordPerfect.

Just copy here and paste there - one post or the whole thread. Try it. No color changes needed at all.
